DR. MANISH SHARMA, DO

Premier Hospitalists is lead by our managing partner Dr. Manish Sharma.

Dr. Sharma started the group back in 2008 with the commitment to provide the Tampa community with timely and accurate in-patient health care services.

Premier Hospitalists’ core values of patient-centered care, communication and continuity of care are what really guides our organizational culture.

Dr. Sharma is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified physician.He completed his residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997.

His undergraduate studies were completed at Saint Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He is a current member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Dr. Sharma has a true commitment of setting the standard in medicine.In his spare time he likes to cheer on his beloved Tampa Bay Lightning and spend time with his wife and their two children.

DR. NICHOLAS ABRAHAM, MD

VATANIE GUERRIER, ARNP

Vatanie Guerrier joined Premier Hospitalists in 2015.She was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL.

Growing up Vatanie had a strong passion for nursing and always knew she wanted to be in the medical field.

In 2008 she graduated from Palm Beach State College with an Associate of Arts degree and later that year she moved to Tampa to attend nursing school.

She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida class of 2010. After graduating she began her career as a Registered Nurse fulfilling her passion.After three years of nursing she decided it was time to go back to school to obtain her masters degree.

In 2015, Vatanie graduated with a Master of Science, Summa Cum Laude in Nursing at the University of South Florida, and a few months later she became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her clinical Interest include diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, cancer, transplant, and women’s care. Vatanie enjoys helping people and making a difference in the lives of others.Outside of nursing she loves spending quality time with her family and friends, eating and traveling.

RICHARD OCASION, ARNP

Richard Ocasion,ARNP-C was born and raised in Manila,Philippines. He moved to Florida in 2003. He completed his Associate in Science in 2007 as well as his Bachelor of Science in 2010 at St.Petersburg College,Pinellas County,FL. In 2007. Richard begun his nursing career at Tampa General Hospital. For over 8 years at Tampa General from a novice to an experienced nurse, he consistently provided compassionate care to all his clients. As a leader he lead by example who always lends a helping hand to his peers. In 2015 he was the Unit Nurse of the Year.

Driven by his fervor to help others and hunger to further his education he continued on to pursue graduate studies at the University of South Florida. Richard holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing primarily focused on Adult-Gerontological health. Since 2017, he has been board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He continues to strive to provide the highest quality care that is centered on health maintenance, disease prevention and risk reduction. He empowers his clients through health education. Richard is also certified through the American Heart Association in both Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

He enjoys fishing in his spare time and loves trips to Disney World with his beautiful wife,Reyah, and lovely children, Jakob and Robyn.

DR. DOUGLAS SCHWARTZ, DO

Dr. Schwartz joined Premier Hospitalists in 2014.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Douglas Schwartz is a graduate of Cornell University with a Pre-Medical major, class of 2004.

He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus with honors in 2009.

He spent his next five years in Memphis, Tennessee completing Internal Medicine residency, followed by completing fellowship in kidney disease and dialysis.Dr. Schwartz then moved to Tampa, Florida with his wife and young daughter. His interests in medicine include managing high blood pressure, electrolyte and metabolic disturbances, and improving overall hospital medicine.

Dr. Schwartz enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Schwartz is a New York Yankees fan. He can often be found at Tampa Bay Lightning games.
